This page exists as a guideline for template usage and style of writing used on the Animal Boyfriend Wiki. It is important to keep a consistent writing style across the site or else it may be jarring for readers. Template usage must also be standardized.
General Guidelines
- Use the preview buttons before publishing an edit to make sure nothing gets broken!
- More complicated edits should be suggested on a page's talk page before any change happens. That way, it will not interfere with already existing content without notice.
- Keep it professional and objective. In the case of this wiki, this means that some descriptions and information comes from the game. It is encouraged to use the most accurate descriptions the game uses to avoid confusion and misunderstanding.
- Exception: When typing in information, correct any minor spelling and grammatical errors that come up.
- All page creations will follow the exact naming scheme written in the game.
Image Uploads
- All images pertaining to game mechanics must be in PNG format.
- Exception: Images of students can be in JPG format.
- Proper file names for images:
- Image names should not have the word "screen shot" or "IMG" or "Image" anywhere in the name.
- The only numbers allowed in image names are for denoting order and must not exceed higher than three digits at the end of the file name.
- Using user name and/or student's name (if available) is the best way to name image files.
- All images not being utilized will be purged without notice every Saturday night.
- Any contributor found uploading an improperly named file:
- First offense: A warning issue will be sent and the image deleted
- Second offense: Image will be deleted on sight
- Third offense onward: User may be banned for a few days to indefinitely depending on the number of offenses

When creating a new event page, add the following template (in the gray box) to a new blank page and fill in the information. Specific details can be found on the template page.
- Event Drops
- When listing the stage drops, separate each possible drop with a capitalized "OR". For Currency drops, make sure to put the currency in CAPS.
- Non-currency item drops must be within [ ] followed by the amount dropped:
